The Tierney family has called this place home since settling here in the spring of 1848 from Westport, Ireland.
"May the road rise up to meet you, May the wind always be at your back, and, until you pass this way again, May God hold you in the hollow of his hand."
-Settlers Park Monument

From the mid 1800s to the present, the Tierney Family has always had respect for this land. As it is transformed from farm into a community, it is our desire to preserve what we have found to be a special feeling, the feeling you get as you walk through "Settler's Park".
Little things, like the extra wide sidewalks leading to the part, and the special care taken in design to preserve the beautiful view, all make it easier to build a sense of community in Southbridge.
We invite you to share this special place, take care of it, and most of all, enjoy it!
